What information will Save the Children need?
As a registered charity, Save the Children requires certain information to fulfil our regulatory and auditing requirements. The information we will ask you for depends on the type of gift that has been left to us.
Please get in touch with us on 020 7012 6400 or email [email protected] to check what information we require.
If you're able to supply a copy of the Will, that will help us to be as specific and accurate as possible.
What about tax?
As a registered charity, we're exempt from Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax and some aspects of Income Tax. These apply to legacies and estate administration, and can really increase the value of the gift at no cost to you or the person who wrote the Will.
However, these tax exemptions are not automatic and usually require action. Please contact the Legacy Income team at [email protected] so that we can help you with this.
