In early spring, the colony is much smaller because it only consists of the queen and a few worker bees. The queen starts laying eggs that will hatch into worker bees, gradually increasing the colony size. As the season progresses and the colony grows, it can expand to its peak size, often reaching up to 300 to 400 bees, though some species might have fewer or more.

Question 3: c) It can take around 60 to 100 days from planting to get harvestable tomatoes.

Question 6: d) It depends

The first day of spring doesn't always happen on the same day each year. That's because spring begins on the date between winter and summer when the day and the night are almost the same length. That day is called the spring equinox, and it happens between March 19 and March 21 each year.

Question 7: d) 50 years

If the conditions are right, a successful daffodil field can bloom for up to 50 years. They need an area with good drainage and sunlight. They also like areas where the grass can be left unmown, which is why hillsides and open spaces are popular daffodil spots.

Question 8: c) They perform an athletic leap

Rabbits perform an athletic leap, known as a ‘binky‘, when they’re happy – performing twists and kicks in mid-air!
