Saving children's lives
10 million children die every year before their fifth birthday. But we know, together, it's possible to stop this injustice. We just have to act.
We want 10 million people to take action by 2010 for the 10 million children. Be one of them. Make sure the very poorest children aren't left to die.

Save the Children's biggest-ever campaign needs you to take simple but powerful actions - actions that really can save a child's life.
We're outraged that millions of children still die every year because the poorest and most neglected children are being left out.
And we believe that we'll only reach Millennium Development Goal 4 - to cut child deaths by two thirds by 2015 - if we help these children today.
It's simple to save a child's life; we just have to act.
Watch a short, powerful video from Kadiatu, a mother in Sierra Leone, who talks honestly about the harsh conditions facing mothers and babies every day.
Saving lives on the ground
We provide direct help when and where it matters:
- We've treated more than 49,000 malnourished children in Niger, as volunteer Frances Seth discovered on a trip there.
- In rural India, we're helping mothers like Badaam to keep their babies healthy.
- We're supporting mothers and babies in Sierra Leone - officially the toughest place to be born in the world.
Inspiring others
We're independent and push governments, the United Nations and others to do more:
- We're working hard to make healthcare free for all children.
- We're asking Gordon Brown to prioritise saving children's lives.
