High profile supporters
Save the Children is fortunate to have the support of a number of high profile stars from film, music, television and the business world.
Our high profile supporters help us reach a wider audience and create dramatic change by dedicating time and energy in a variety of ways.
Snow Patrol
Snow Patrol are a Grammy Award nominated rock band from Northern Ireland. Their fourth album, Eyes Open, has sold 4 million copies worldwide, making it the biggest selling album of 2006. Snow Patrol have supported Save the Children for the last two years, helping us launch our Rewrite the Future campaign and donating the proceeds from two singles to campaign. They have just returned from Northern Uganda where they visited our work.

Katie Melua
Katie began supporting Save the Children in 2004 and holds a particular interest in our education work. She regularly helps raise funds and in April 2006 she generously donated the profits from the sales of her single Spider's Web to us. In Katie's own words, "having seen the work at first hand I know how important it is that funds are raised to ensure the work can continue".

Samantha Morton
Samantha is one of the most talented performers of her generation, gaining Oscar nominations for her performances in In America and Sweet And Lowdown. She is a committed ambassador and is passionate about our child protection work. In 2005 she went to Indonesia to see how our programmes support children and young people.
Samantha gave her support to our Rewrite the Future campaign.
Fran Healy
Travis frontman Fran Healy began supporting our work in 2004 when he visited South Sudan with us. Fran returned there in 2005 and again in August 2007. "One of the saddest legacies of the conflict here is that children were turned into soldiers. A whole generation of children here has grown up never having known peace," said Fran.

Midge Ure
In 1984 Midge co-wrote the single 'Do They Know It's Christmas' with Bob Geldof and organised the Live Aid concerts, raising £8 million for starving people in Africa. Midge revisited Ethiopia in 2004 and saw there was still much to achieve prompting him to organise the re-recording of the single and the Live 8 concerts. He also received an OBE for his contribution to music and overseas development.

Nina Wadia, actress/comedian
A mum herself, Nina Wadia regularly gives her time to support our work for some of the world's poorest children. She regularly supports our campaigns for a better life for children.
Laila Rouass, actress
Laila has supported Save the Children since 2005. After a busy year recording Footballers Wives she visited Calcutta learning about our support for children who work in domestic labour.
Andrew Murray, tennis player
Scotland's finest tennis player is fully behind Save the Children's annual Tennis Tournament - not only because it encourages people of all ages to get active but also because it raises funds for some of our work across the world.
Alex Kingston, actress
ER star Alex Kingston started supporting Save the Children when she found out about our work to campaign for better healthcare for some of the world's poorest children.
Edith Bowman, DJ
Radio 1 DJ Edith has supported Save the Children since her visit to Rwanda with us to see how our work is supporting children who have been severly affected by conflict and extreme poverty.
Konnie Huq, TV presenter
School Link is our way of enabling school children in the UK to learn about what life is like for children in other parts of the world. Each year, one of the schools gets the chance to have a visit from Blue Peter presenter, Konnie.
Dave Grohl, musician
By designing wristbands in aid of Save the Children, Dave Grohl, the rest of the Foo Fighters and Trade + Aid have helped us fund work to support children suffering from HIV/AIDS in Mozambique.
Saira Khan, TV personality
Since appearing on the first series of The Apprentice Saira has been hosting TV shows and setting up her own baby-care range Miamoo. But she is also committed to supporting our educational work with children across the world.
